Let's Be Friends
I don’t believe that wedding photography is one-size-fits-all; you’re too unique for that! And just as there are so many different kinds of people with different kinds of personalities and tastes, there are so many different kinds of wedding photography. I recognize that all brides are unique in what they want, and I work VERY hard to make sure that HRG brides get the photos that they want. I serve a very specific type of bride: one that realizes it takes a whole experience to get playful, warm, and sometimes unconventional portraits of herself and her groom. The first step toward working with me is making sure we’re a good fit! After I get to know you online, we’ll determine if we’re a match made in heaven. Then it’s on to booking!
Save the date
We were meant to be! Now let’s make sure that your date is safe and secure so we can make your dream into a reality! I’ll send you a custom online booking proposal where you can review your collection, pay your deposit, and make it a done deal. Once you’re an official HRG bride and groom, it’s time to prepare!
Let the fun begin
After you book, we’ll schedule your engagement session. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you are up to speed. I’m a pro at making couples feel comfortable in front of the camera. Even if you think you’re not photogenic or your fiance hates photos, you’ll be amazed after the first twenty minutes: the nerves will be gone and we’ll be basking in the joy of this new season of your life together! After your engagement session, I’ll feature you on the HRG blog and you’ll be sent your online gallery of images so you can download them and share them with friends and family.
The countdown begins!
Once we’re eight weeks out from your big day, we’ll make sure everything is ready for the wedding! A custom timeline will ensure that you don’t miss out on any of the wedding photos you really want. I make sure all my HRG brides have those dreamy portraits, fun friend shots, and delicate detail images that look like they’re straight out of a magazine. We’ll plan your photography-friendly day so everything you want in your wedding fits like a dream.
It’s the big day!
Whew! The time sure did fly! Now it’s time to celebrate, relax, and let me get to work! This day is always a blur, so I make it a priority to capture the traditional shots that every bride needs while also capturing little moments in a creative and unique way for my HRG brides. I won’t miss a thing! After the wedding, you’ll be featured on the blog again. I love sharing wedding pictures while everyone is still on cloud nine from the big day instead of keeping couples waiting.
Drumroll, please!
After your wedding day is over, you will receive an online gallery of hundreds and hundreds of photos full of your wedding memories. I encourage my HRG couples to sit down with a glass of wine the night their gallery goes live and enjoy reliving their wedding day through their images.
Memories are forever
Soon after your gallery is revealed, you will receive your album design and can begin the customization process. Albums are a beautiful way to have your favorite images from the day all in one place. Customizing can be a fun way for newlyweds to share their favorite parts of the day and which pictures they love the most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Yes! YES! From the island of Singapore to the beaches of Mexico to just down the road, I’ve got you.

My contract specifies a 4-6 week turnaround for your wedding images. There is a long process after I shoot a wedding in which I get rid of the duds, edit the images to match my style, upload them to an online gallery, create a blog post, and design a wedding album. You can expect about a month for all of that!

I have a lot of wonderful photographer friends across the country that I hire to work with me. I select and pay them myself, so you don’t need to worry about that! I hire based mostly on my own style of photography and experience in the industry. They’re all professional, great at what they do, and will help keep everything running smoothly on the wedding day.

Unfortunately, no. I cannot do both video and photos at the same time as they are quite different and impossible to shoot together. I do have a list of amazing videographers that I love working with if you would like suggestions. Just let me know!

I’ll find the tickets myself, book the flight, and then add that expense into the final invoice for the wedding collection. For lodging, most couples book that for me and then let me know the details.

I require two nights and three days of lodging because it is important for me to arrive a little early to scope out locations. I also make a point to ask other photographers in the area for tips and tricks.

I have traveled to over twelve different countries, been in 38 of the US states, and lived in five different states. I am very comfortable with being in different countries and cultures, so don’t worry about me!
